Short description and remarks

'Flow around a Heated Cylinder in a channel' is widely spread in the field of Chemical Engineering.

This page contains the 2D simulation of fluid flow around a cylinder(radius is equal to 0.1 unit) in a channel of length 2.0 and height of 1.0 units. The cylinder is located at x=1.60 and y=0.5 . The calculation starts from rest. The flow is observed with the Reynolds number 1000. These simulations are part of a Software-Praktikum at the University of Dortmund in 2004.
