Short description and remarks

'Flow around a heated cylinder in a channel` is widely spread in the field of chemical engineering.

This page contains the 2D simulation of fluid flow around a cylinder (radius is equal to 0.3 unit) in a channel of length 2.5 and height 1.0 unit. The cylinder is located at x = 1.75 & y = 0.5. The calculation starts from rest. The flow is observed with the Reynolds number 1000. This simulation is part of a Software-Praktikum at the University of Dortmund in 2004.
