Short description and remarks
Perpendicular pipe flow from below into a channel at
different Reynolds numbers (in each row from left=low to middle=medium
up to
right=high). The inflow through the lower pipe has always
speed 1. The resulting flow ranges from symmetric and steady, to
still symmetric but nonsteady up to fully nonsymmetric and
nonsteady.
The corresponding coarse mesh is plotted in the following
diagram.
