Merger of two perpendicular pipe flows at different inflow speeds

Merger of two perpendicular pipe flows. The left flow has speed 1 and the lower one varies from 1 (first column) over 5 (second column) up to 20 (third column). If both merge, they produce quite complex flow patterns. The corresponding coarse mesh is plotted in the following diagram.
