Short description and remarks

Flow (isothermal) in a gas burner at medium Reynolds number. See also the results for the other flow situations. A complete description of this flow type which has been part of a BMBF project can be found at (see the paper archive):

Visualization

  • Distribution of temperature/concentration via Boussinesq model

Visualization via temperature distribution, starting from the inlet (first, second and third, different color maps, 4.3, 3.9 and 4.3 MB), and from the (interior) heated walls (fourth, fifth and sixth, with different color maps, 4.5 MB, 3.8 MB and 5.7 MB).

  • Pressure

Visualization via pressure plots, shaded (first and second, different color maps, 1.7 and 2.8 MB) and via isolines (third, 12.3 MB).

  • Streamfunction

Visualization via streamline plots, shaded (first, 2.1 MB) and via isolines (second, 14.1 MB).

  • Velocity

Visualization via vector plots (vectors, 5.7 MB).
