Other Flow types I: Flow in a gas burner

The following examples concern prototypes of gas flow through a burner which was part of a BMBF project. For a specific description of the problem look at the corresponding pages in the `Virtual Album'.

The complexity of this problem depends among other things on the:

  • inflow speed
  • viscosity
  • shape of the burner with interior plates and small devices

A systematic variation of these different configurations is part of the following flow situations.

Other Flow types II: Jet flow in a box

The following examples concern prototypes of a gas flow as a jet into a chamber/box which was part of a common project with Dutch engineers. For a specific description of the problem look at the corresponding pages in the `Virtual Album'.

The complexity of this problem depends among other things on the:

  • inflow speed width and angle of entrance of the inflows
  • viscosity
  • shape of the box with corresponding in- and outlets

A systematic variation of these different configurations is part of the following flow situations.
