Mathematical and statistical strategies and tools are crucial for exploiting large data sets aggregated in many scientific disciplines, in economical applications and for public policy decision making. The aim of the workshop is to bring together mathematicians and scientists working in fields where mathematical expertise can bring significant profit to applications. In particular there will be talks on medical statistics, epidemiology, marine biology, computational biology, and data mining and personalization.
