Announcement :Dear Colleagues and Friends,
this is the first announcement of the
Walkshop "Operators, Spectra and Mathematical Physics" TU Chemnitz, May 12, 2006
We take up an initiative that had been realized in Clausthal last year for the first time. At the same time, there had been a tradition of symposia in Mathematical Physics in Chemnitz (known as TMP) of a much larger scale.
The aim is to combine a strongly limited number of talks with a hiking tour during which there is a lot of room for discussions.
As a new format we plan to include a feature review, by which we mean a talk of someone featuring a result of someone else.
Here some more information:
- The program will start on Friday morning and end on Friday evening with a Chemnitzian barbecue.
- We can arrange for accomodation at a special rate of approximately 50 EUR.
- Our resources for funding are rather limited, so we cannot supply travel or living expenses as a rule. Those who really (!!!) need support should contact us at an early stage.
Right now we would like to ask you to let us know tentatively till 20th December 2005 whether you are interested in coming. This would enable us see how many of you can participate and accordingly conntact further potential participants. If you already know that you would like to give a talk (with a tentative title and abstract), let us know.
Looking forward to meeting you in Chemnitz,
Daniel Lenz, Peter Stollmann and Ivan Veselić
